Neuroqueer Talmud - A New Way to Learn
Have you wanted to learn Talmud but never knew how to begin?
Do you want to learn in a queer, disability, and neurodivergent positive space?
The Talmud doesn't only belong to heteronormative neuronormative able mindbody orthodox jewish men.
Over 7 weeks we will learn how to make the Talmud YOURS. We will be learning both in shiur (lecture) and chevruta (paired study in breakout rooms).
No prior study is required. We will go from zero knowledge to being able to comfortably decipher a page of Talmud.
All from a neuroaffirming, queer affirming perspective. Not only will be learn how to learn, but how to read the Talmud via the lens of disability, neurodivergence, and queerness. Even if one of those doesn’t describe you, it will give you a new perspective to better enhance your view on the Jewish world and tradition.
